Hydraulic Throwout Bearings
Driveline Components hydraulic throw-out bearing eliminates the piston in most bearing assemblies. The upper housing moves forward and backward with the throw-out bearing attached, thus doing away with extra O–rings that can fail.
Made of American-bought billet aluminum, fully machined and assembled by hand, the throw-out bearings use square O–rings to get a greater seal. Applications fit G.M., Ford, and Mopar.
Because of different input shaft lengths, we make some specialty sizes; most use the adjusting screw that comes for those applications. In most kits, we include two spacers for fine-tuning the adjustment. A bellhousing bracket is also included, so the bellhousing can be drilled and tapped for two small screws to mount the bracket and keep the lines from sucking down onto the top of the clutch assembly. The only application for Ford we don’t make is for the 1-⅜” input top-loader transmission.
